He was predeceased by: his parents, Daisy Greene Taylor and James Edward Taylor; and his brother William Edward Taylor (Carolyn). He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Harrell Taylor; his grandchildren, Anna Cathryn, Charles and Eliza; his son Carl Dewey Taylor Jr. (Naomi Elisabeth Taylor); his granddaughter Carolyn Eliza Taylor of Washington, DC; his daughter Cathryn Taylor Perry (Joseph Christopher Perry); his grandchildren, Anna Cathryn Redding Perry and Christopher Charles Perry of Virginia Beach, VA; and his brother James Earl Taylor of Eure, NC.
