Curtis F. Jones Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Curtis F. Jones (Chapel Hill, North Carolina), born in Bangor, Maine, who passed away on June 5, 2021, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Elizabeth; his parents, Ernest F. Jones and Florence Jones; and his brother Sherwood Jones. He is survived by: his children, Dr. Curtis Thompson Jones (Jan), Dr. Steven Swann Jones (Rosalyn) and Dr. Leslie Sargent Jones (Jeffrey); his grandchildren, Leila Dean, Geoffrey Jones, Trent Jones, Tyler Jones and Destry Jones; his great grandchildren, Sophia Dean, Gordon Dean and Dillon Jones; his sister Faith Middleton; and his close friend Eleanor Gates Kinnaird.
He will be missed by his Carol Woods neighbors, who were still enjoying his tomato harvest through the pandemic year, and his friends and colleagues throughout the Chapel Hill community.
