He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Joseph Claxton Harris, Sr. and Virginia Swindell Harris; his wife Dorothy King Harris; his stepchildren, Robby King, Rickie King (Sheri), Sandra King (Terry) and Reggie King (Molly); his grandchildren, Jake, Noah, Abbey, Matthew and Josh; his great grandchildren, Levi and Hayden; his sisters, Virginia McGranahan (Jim), Betsy Proctor (Jim), Ellen Weekley (George) and Judy Eason (Bill); and his granddaughter Taylor. He was also cherished by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mount Carmel Baptist Church.
