She is survived by: her children, Missy Biggers of Chapel Hill, Bill Biggers (Gretchen) of Carrboro and Joy B. Walker (Thomas); and her grandchildren, William Biggers, Trent Biggers, Anna Burchfield, Chelsea W. Newcomer (Nick) and Dusty Walker (Alayna). She is also survived by nephews and nieces.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be sent to support teachers and students at Eastern Alamance High School in Mebane, NC .
