He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parent Edgar James Furr (Ed); his brother Neal Alan Furr; his stepfather Ray Smith; his mother Helen Houck-Furr Smith of Chapel Hill; his sister-in-law Cheri Garnett Furr of Charlotte; his niece Amanda Furr Jordan (Jon) of Charlotte; his great-niece Eva Jordan; his great-nephews, Jackson and Robert Jordan; his aunt Kathryn Scott; and his stepsiblings, Cynthia Smith Daffan (Ned), Janice Smith Allen (Joe) of Warrensboro, VA and Wayne Smith of Broad Run, VA. He was also cherished by several cousins and his extended family.
