He was predeceased by: his parents, Everette Thomas and Elsie Riddle Thomas; his brother Emil Thomas; his son Stanley Reichard Thomas, Jr.; and his grandsons, Thomas Keaton Koger and Wesley Effler.
He is survived by: his sister Pearl Thomas Maynor of Chapel Hill; and his children, Lorrie T. Koger (Kent) of Cookeville, TN, Cindy T. Howard of Cookeville, TN, Julia T. Teague of Cookeville, TN and Shane Thomas of Cookeville, TN. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family asks for memorial contributions to be made in Stanley's memory to the Mt. Gilead Baptist Church 1785 Mt Gilead Church Rd, Pittsboro, NC 27312.
