He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred D. Adcock, Sr. and Lonie Ayscue Adcock; and his siblings, Lucille Gray, Wilbur Adcock and Betsy Barnes.

He is survived by: his mother-in-law Marjorie Hawley; his wife Marjorie; his daughters, Vicki A. Massey (Vernon) and Heidi A. Cline; his grandson Ethan Andrew Massey; and his sister Joyce Paul. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Andrews United Methodist Church at 1900 Emerywood Drive Charlotte, North Carolina 28210.
