He was predeceased by: his parents, John Sherman Pinyan and Lodie Sowers Pinyan; his wife Juanita Henderson Pinyan; and his siblings, S. Pinyan II, Phineas "Chick" Pinyan, Earl Pinyan, Floyd Pinyan, Patrick Pinyan, Ethel Wilson, Louise Rich, Maxine Price and Dixie Kendall.
He is survived by: his children, Arnold G. Pinyan, Wayne Pinyan and Marie Fairfax (David); his grandchildren, Devin Fairfax, Chris Fairfax and Brandon Fairfax; his great grandchildren, Jaden, Ryan, Hunter, Madison, Braylynn and Bailey Fairfax; and his siblings, Alma Horne, Otis "Buck" Pinyan and Ann Stone. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
