He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Clarence and Ellen Hutson Cooley; and his wife Jean Stover Cooley. He is survived by: his sons, John Philip "Phil" Cooley (Susan) and James Douglas "Doug" Cooley (Tracy); his grandchildren, Andrew Philip Cooley, Erin Cooley Keaton (Matthew) and Chelsea Cooley Altman; his great grandchildren, Airlie Scott Altman, Christopher Hank Altman, Amelia Sloane Keaton and Logan Wade Keaton; and also Heath.
