He is survived by: his children, Dale Nelson (Ingrid) of Sacramento, CA, Wendy Padula of Vernon, CT and Scott Nelson (Ashley) of Charlotte; his grandchildren, Britta Nelson, Erik Nelson, Justin Padula, Carter Nelson and Elizabeth Nelson; and his great grandchildren, Marcus Padula and Mia Padula.
