She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Herb Morton and Nelda Poppenhager; her husband Captain Bertram Carraway; and her children, Bertram Reid Carraway II, Robert Carraway, Coleen Carraway Marshall and Kathy Carraway Bailey. She was also cherished by nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
