With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Bobby Cornelius of Charlotte, North Carolina, born in Gaston, North Carolina, who passed away on April 1, 2021 at the age of 73. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Cornelius and Helen Cornelius; and his siblings, Henry, Robert, James, Frances, Margaret Cornelius and Doretha Beam.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Cornelius; his mother-in-law Ora Bell Cureton; his sons, Isaac, Curtis Vance of Charlotte, NC and Stacy Smith of Gastonia, NC; his grandchildren, Elizabeth "Lib" Royster, Isherneka Cureton and Curtis Vance, Jr.; and his sisters, Willie Mae Williams (Joe) of Gastonia, NC and Betty McBride of Ladson, SC. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
