He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Richardson and Lola Newman; his wife Mildred Chambers Richardson; his daughter Denise Hockaday; his brother Kenny Richardson of Ft. Myers Beach, Florida; and his half-brother Morris Richardson of Creedmoor.
He is survived by: his daughter Barbara Burg (Meredith Thompson) of Charlotte; his grandson Steve Burgess (Becky Burgess) of Wake Forest; and his great grandchildren, Cecilia and Caroline Burgess.
