He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Ray Hemphill, Sr. and Doris Madia Wood Hemphill. He is survived by: his wife DiAne Reed Hemphill; his children, Kara Suzanna Weyhenmeyer (Mark) of Denver, Tiffany Reed St. John of Charlotte and Robert P. Reed (Lora) of West Linn, Oregon; his sister Karol Hemphill Leatherwood (Jerry) of Simpsonville; his grandchildren, Averi, Eliott, Gideon Reed, Sutton, Reese St. John, Jahmael and Leah Weyhenmeyer; and his nephew John Leatherwood.
