It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Claude Andrew Cootes (Charlotte, North Carolina), born in McKinney, Texas, who passed away on August 30, 2020, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Henry Cootes and Mary Cootes; his wife Ruth Cootes; his children, Phyllis Porter and Larry Allen; his grandson Darryl Porter; his great grandchild Noah Harris; and his siblings, Roy Cootes and Mary Ann Cootes.
He is survived by: his children, Mary Ruth Frodge (Michael), Dennis Cootes and David Cootes (Becky). He is also survived by six grandchildren; four great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren.
Due to COVID, the family will be having a private graveside service at Sunset Memory Gardens in Mint Hill, NC.
