It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Damien Jay Crandell (Charlotte, North Carolina), born in Chesterfield, South Carolina, who passed away on November 23, 2025, at the age of 28, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Levoid Joines, Tricia Cash and Clara Paterson. He is survived by: his parents, Tricia Ann Joines (Erica) and Dantonio Vonte Crandell (NaKisha); his siblings, Danielle Joines (Tyus Baker) of Mount Croghan, SC, Levon Joines of Monroe, NC, Brandon Crandell of Norfolk, VA, Alesa McMillan (Trae Bonds) of Charlotte, NC, Jadah Crandell of Charlotte, NC, Jannai Crandell of Charlotte, NC and Jameya Crandell of Charlotte, NC; his grandparents, Bobby, Rosslyn Crandell and Robert Jackson; and his siblings' children, Everr Edwards, Autumn Bonds, Trenity Baker, Cali Crandell, Ethan Edwards, Yasiah Green and Kody Joines. He is also survived by his many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 8th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the A. E. Grier & Sons (2310 Statesville Ave, Charlotte, NC 28206). A celebration of life will be held on Monday, December 8th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
