She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Thomas and Christine Pugh Monroe; and her brothers, Archie and Charlie Monroe. She is survived by: her children, Sheldon Collins and Candice Collins of Charlotte, NC; her grandchild Amaya Miller of Charlotte; her siblings, Virginia Monroe, Gloria Monroe, Julius Monroe and Julian Monroe; and her sister-in-law Belinda Monroe. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
