He was predeceased by: his son Daniel Meggs; his parents, Carl Meggs and Betty Meggs; and his sister Yvonne Baucom. He is survived by: his wife Lisa Meggs; his daughter Brittany Rauch (Julian Rauch); his daughter-in-law Jordan Meggs; his grandsons, Wills Rauch, Miller Rauch and Davis Meggs; his brother Curtis Meggs (Debi Meggs); his nephew Brent Meggs (Candace Meggs); and his mother-in-law Libby Jackson (Jerry Reid).

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, a contribution be made to The Meggs Foundation, 5417 Old Course Drive, Charlotte, NC 28277.
