She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Thomas Gordon Mays Jr. of Mineral and Nancy Barksdale Aldridge of Hopewell; her former husband Gene Pruitt; her husband James Willis Reid of Charlotte, NC; and her siblings, Thomas Gordon Mays III of New Bern, NC., Randall Mays of Stuart, FL., Pamela Kasten of Sneads Ferry, NC. and Angela Long of North Beach, MD.. She was also cherished by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
