Fred Jones Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Fred Jones (Charlotte, North Carolina), who passed away on September 29, 2020, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Tom Phillip and Temante Watkins Jefferies. He is survived by: his children, Jacqueline Johnson (Paul) of Newport News, Gloria Strong of Charlotte, NC, Linda Clark of Charlotte, NC, Tammy Jones and Freddrick Jones of Charlotte, NC; his siblings, Junior Jefferies (Minnie) of Shelby, NC and Minnie Lattimore of Charlotte, NC; and his close friend Limy Lattimore. He is also survived by six grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; ten great-great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p. m. on Saturday, October 10, 2020, in A. E. Grier & Sons Funeral Home, 2310 Statesville Ave, Charlotte, NC 28206, with a viewing beginning at 2:30 p. m. Due to the current health pandemic, only 50 people may be in attendance. Face coverings and social distancing are required.
