He was loved and cherished by many people including: his father Phillip Barringer; his uncle Glenn Barringer; his close friend Shirley McDowell; his mother Juanita Barringer; his siblings, Johnny Barringer of Charlotte, NC, Terry Barringer (Barbara) of New Port News, Virginia, Stephanie Cureton (Michael) of Charlotte, NC, Rita Graham of Kannapolis, NC and Twanda Suggs (Will) of Kannapolis, NC; his aunts, Martha Barringer of Charlotte, NC, Grace Caldwell (Levon) of Charlotte, NC, Maxine Barringer of Charlotte, NC, Francis Klutz of Kannapolis, NC and Ada Hardin of Kannapolis, NC; his uncle Leonard Barringer of Charlotte, NC; his children, Teresa McDowell of Charlotte, NC, Randy McDowell of Charlotte, NC, James McDowell of Charlotte, NC and Carla Elmore of Charlotte, NC; and his close friend Bob McArthur. He was also cherished by seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; six nieces, three nephews; a host of great-nieces and great-nephews.
