He was predeceased by: his parents, Lex Vernon Cox and Helen Towery Cox. He is survived by: his fiancé Stephaney Grooms; his sister Sheila Haene (Glenn); and his nieces, Anna Jordan (Jeff) and Aleah Adams (Troy). He is also survived by four great nephews.

A private service will be held at a later date due to COVID19.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or charity of choice.
