With heavy hearts, we announce the death of George MacDonald MacKie III (Charlotte, North Carolina), born in Fall River, Massachusetts, who passed away on December 19, 2020 at the age of 90. He was predeceased by: his parents, George Mackie and Ora Mackie. He is survived by: his wife Yvette Marie Tessier; his brother Donald B. Mackie of Fall River, MA; his children, George M. Mackie, IV (Wandra) of Kiawah Island, SC and Linda Marie Hughes (Tom) of Matthews, NC; and his grandchildren, Jordan Mackie Whitesides (Wyman) of Charlotte, NC, George M. Mackie, Matthew Hughes of Matthews, NC and Jason Hughes of Matthew, NC. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren.
A memorial service celebrating his life will be scheduled at a later time, when the world gets back to normal after the current Pandemic.
