It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Georgene Mendenhall Sherer in Charlotte, North Carolina, born in Rock Hill, South Carolina, who passed away on June 1, 2021, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her daughter Margaret Faye Sherer; her husband Dr. James Pressley Sherer; her parents, George Wallace Mendenhall and Margaret Love Good Mendenhall; and her brother Samuel Brooks Mendenhall.
She is survived by: her daughters, Elizabeth Sherer Sedam (Glenn) of Charlotte and Catherine Sherer Bishop of Jackson, MS; and her grandchildren, Kristen, Jay Sedam, Marie and Sam Bishop.
