It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gordon M. Wilkins Jr. of Charlotte, North Carolina, who passed away on July 14, 2023, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Gordon M. Wilkins and Dorothy Dixon Wilkins of Charlotte; his aunts and uncles, Jefferson and Purry Grigsby of Charlotte; his significant other Ambassador Francis V. Vendrell; and his sister Sharon Wilkins Forlemu (Felix Forlemu).
He is survived by: his siblings, Elizabeth W. Morris, Malcolm D. Wilkins and Michael G. Wilkins of Charlotte.
As per Gordon Wilkins' wishes in lieu of flowers, gifts can be made in the memory of Dorothy Dixon Wilkins to the American Cancer Society.
