It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Homer Edwards (Charlotte, North Carolina), born in Catawba, North Carolina, who passed away on January 9, 2021, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John David and Mintie Jane Edwards; and his siblings, Esco, Hansel, Herschel, George, Chauncey, Cyril, Caster, Nona Edwards Kay and Nina Edwards Sittman.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy "Dot" Schafer Edwards; his daughters, Pamela Edwards Ford and Renee Edwards Rogers; his grandchildren, Richard Rogers (Elaine) and Alyson Rogers Voelske (Brian); his great grandchildren, Landon Voelske and Lillian Voelske; and his daughter Pam.
Due to restrictions regarding COVID-19, a graveside service was held at Iredell Memorial Gardens Cemetery on Thursday, January 14, 2020.
