It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Irene Mercurio of Charlotte, North Carolina, born in Cassville, West Virginia, who passed away on January 8, 2021, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Stephen Pataki and Mary Pataki; her husband Michael S. Mercurio; and her siblings, Steve, Julius, Anthony Pataki, Margaret Pataki and Virginia Kiseda.
She is survived by: her son Michael C. Mercurio (Mary); her grandchildren, Steven Stirp and Stephanie Austin (Brandon); her great grandchildren, Sean Stirp, Aiden and Ava Austin; and her sisters, Mary C. and Elizabeth Pataki.
