He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Edward Maxwell and Queenie Ileene Chappell; his wife Joan Perrin; his sisters, Ilene Makins of St. Catharines and Dorothy Shipp of Rocklin; and his grandchildren, Brad, Chris, Cary, Shane and Dean (Johnette). He was also cherished by several great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Jim's honor, to the American Heart Association.
