We are sad to announce that on November 17, 2020 we had to say goodbye to Jane A. Bongardt in Charlotte, North Carolina. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Dr. Henry F. Bongardt; and her parents, Jessie Abernathy and Buck Abernathy. She is survived by: her children, Xan McDowell (Doug) and Dean Bennett; her granddaughters, Abby Funk (Brandon) and Deming McDowell; and her brothers, John Abernathy and Bill Abernathy.

Due to COVID restrictions, a private graveside service will be held at Evergreen Cemetery for the immediate family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care-Charlotte Region.
