He was predeceased by: his parents, Marshall Henry Craig and Virgie Ross Craig; and his son Billy Craig. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Margaret Craig; his children, Debra Blackwelder of Charlotte and Joe Craig of Charlotte; his grandchildren, Charity McPhail, Robert Craig, Jolea Blackwelder and Lee Blackwelder; and his great grandchildren, Kamryn Craig, Josie McPhail, Ben Craig, Blake McPhail and Bentley Blackwelder.
