He was predeceased by: his parents, Irvin James Albertson and Delores Elizabeth Jones; and his brother Irvin Albertson IV. He is survived by: his wife Karen Albertson; his children, John Albertson Jr. (Alicia), Sheree and Elizabeth Albertson; his grandchildren, Daren Albertson, Alexus Leebrick, Kelsie Albertson, Johnathan Albertson, Cameron and Carson Albertson; his great grandchild DJ Albertson; and his siblings, Bill, Bobby Albertson, Tacy Willis-Albertson and Patrice McCullough-Moulton.
