He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Phillips and Faye Guthrie Phillips; his wife Ruth Lynn Phillips of Jacksonville; and his former wife Jacqueline Coates Phillips. He is survived by: his brother Randy Phillips of Holly Springs, NC; and his children, Stephanie Brusich of Seattle, WA, Tracy Hood of Port St, John Phillips of Houston, TX, Marshall Phillips of Charlotte, NC and Sloan Phillips of Silver Spring, MD. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
