It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph Tomberlin Jr. of Charlotte, North Carolina, who passed away on April 23, 2021, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Bryce Tomberlin and Ruby Griffin Tomberlin; and his brother Herman FranklinTomberlin. He is survived by: his wife Betty Tomberlin; his children, Cindy Carroll (Bobby), Bryan Tomberlin (Christy) and Joe Tomberlin (Heather); his grandchildren, Christopher Hopkins (Sara), LaurenBryce Harrah (Adam), Grace Tomberlin, Chris Tomberlin (Kelsey), Jordan Tomberlin, Mary Tomberlin and Jacob Tomberlin; and his great grandchildren, Harleigh Hopkins, Jaelynne Bryce Hopkins, Zachary Hopkins and Austyn Harrah.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to honor Bryce's life to Eastway Baptist Church, 2749 Eastway Drive, Charlotte, NC 28205.
