It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Julia Upchurch Alexander (Charlotte, North Carolina), who passed away on April 21, 2023, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Pricilla Poteat and Charles Woodfin Upchurch; her husband Ralph Houston Alexander, Jr.; and her brothers, Charles Woodfin Upchurch, Jr. and Allen McNeill Upchurch.

She is survived by: her sons, Lex Alexander of Durham, Doug Alexander (Kathy) of Atlanta and Chuck Alexander (Leslie) of Greensboro; and her grandchildren, Emily Alexander (Vernon Chatman), Gillian Alexander, Taylor Alexander (Caroline), Edward Alexander (Leigh), Charlie Alexander and Avery Alexander. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
