It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Katherine Canfield of Charlotte, North Carolina, born in Roanoke, Virginia, who passed away on August 19, 2020, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Bill Barnette and Isabel Barnette; and her brother Jim Barnette. She is survived by: her husband Bob Canfield; her son Jim Canfield (Tina) of Fuquay-Varina; her grandchildren, Kyle Canfield (Brittany) and Paige Canfield; her niece Mandy Hamilton (Mike); and her nephew Tim Barnette (Kim). She is also survived by several cousins, many friends.
To allow for the safety of friends and family during this pandemic, the graveside service and inurnment will be held on Saturday, August 22, 11:00 AM at Pleasant Grove Memorial Park, 7315 Pleasant Grove Road, Charlotte, NC 28216.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pleasant Grove UMC Family Life Center, 1915 Oakdale Road, Charlotte, NC 28216.
