She was predeceased by: her parents, James Clarence and Sarah Ruth Byers Steppe; her husband Reginald J. Hillman; and her brothers, Vernon Steppe and Howard Steppe.
She is survived by: her son John R. Hillman (Mary Kizer); her grandsons, Madison Corey Hillman (Carrie Hillman) and Reginald Corbin Hillman; and her siblings, Ronald Steppe of Mill Spring, NC, John Steppe of Mill Spring, NC and Margaret Davis of Charlotte, NC..
