He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Zay Davis and Mabel Davis; his wife Ellen Faulkner; his children, Larry Davis (Karen) of Wake Forest, Tom Davis (Carol) of Hendersonville, Richard Davis of Charlotte and Sally Davis of Asheville; his brothers, Bob Davis (Doris) of Charlotte and Max Davis of Roanoke, VA; his grandchildren, Emily Long of Charlotte, Betsy Jones (Byron) of Charlotte, Ben Davis of Raleigh, Matt Davis of Hendersonville, NC, Jamie Staggs (Richie) of Pittsboro and Kristyne Forbes (Christian) of Tempe, AZ; his pet Bonnie; and his brother Gene Davis of Gastonia. He was also cherished by 9 great-grandchildren.
