He was predeceased by: his parents, Beatrice Agar Reeves and Charles Alfred Reeves; his siblings, Robert Agar and Dorothy Reeves; and his fiancée Doris Withers.

He is survived by: his children, Richard Pigford (Trina), Cynthia Wallace, Michael Hardesty (Samantha) and David Hardesty (Walter Carr). He is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
