He was predeceased by: his parents, Nurbert Hicks and Alice Hicks. He is survived by: his wife Crissy Hicks; his children, Beth Slocum of Buford, GA, Jeffrey Hicks (Tanya) of Buford, GA, David Hicks (Angela Martin) of Charlotte and Kristen Hicks (Christopher Harper) of Matthews; his granddaughters, Ashley, Aren, Bailey, McKenna, Ansley, Hailey, Madison and Zhoey; and his great grandchildren, Hannah and Colton.
Shortly after he retired, Alzheimer's attacked his body with a vengeance and he fought against this horrible disease for 5 years.
