With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Carolyn Ward (Charlotte, North Carolina), who passed away on May 3, 2025 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Mary Carolyn departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Mary Carolyn may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Mary Carolyn leaves behind.
She is survived by: her husband Larry Ward; her daughters, Beth Lyle (Jim) and Amy Kelly (Jason); her grandchildren, Zachary and Reagan Kelly; and her siblings, Amy Pitser Barnhardt and John Warner.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to Central United Methodist Church, where Lynn worshiped and served with a heart full of faith.
