She was predeceased by: her grandparents, Claude, Margaret Burgess, Francis Scruggs, Geneva Drye Scruggs Foard and Boyce N. Foard; her sister Debra L. Burgess; and her mother-in-law Linda Ferris.
She is survived by: her parents, John Benjamin Burgess of Oakboro and Pamela Jean Burgess; her husband Edward Mitchell Ferris of Charlotte, NC.; her sisters, Cassandra Harrington of Monroe and Catherine Burgess of Oakboro, NC; her nephews, Ashton John Kennedy of Locust, Gavin Ray Kennedy of Locust and Everett John Harwood of Oakboro, NC.; her father-in-law Henry Ferris; and her brothers-in-law, Henry and Jim.
