She was predeceased by: her parents, Wallace Green Simpson and Mary Elizabeth McClure Simpson; her husband T. C. Courtney; and her siblings, William "Buddy", Allen, Wallace "Geta", Clara, Annie, Edna and Rey.
She is survived by: her daughters, Teresa "Terri" Harkins (Bill) of Charlotte, NC and Kathy Watson (Tim) of Winter Park, FL; and her granddaughters, Lea Harkins, Erika DeBonis (Nick), Courtney Watson Knopick (John) and Kayla Watson. She is also survived by her five great grandchildren; nieces, nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Woodlawn Baptist Church or to Hospice and Palliative Care of the Charlotte Region.
