Maxie Lee May Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Maxie Lee May (Charlotte, North Carolina), who passed away on April 9, 2021 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her brothers, Jim Tollett, Estle Tollett and Harold Tollett. She is survived by: her brother Eddie Tollett of Crossville, TN; her children, Diana Hoppa (Jim) of Charlotte, NC, Sonya Moore (Kevin) of Prosper, TX, Laura May of New London, NC and Steve May (Teena) of Rock Island, TN; and her grandchildren, Michael Hoppa of Charlotte, NC, Christopher Hoppa of Charlotte, NC, Tyler, Christina May of Sparta, TN, Raymond May of Sparta, TN, Matthew May of Nashville, TN and Tommy May of New London, NC. She is also survived by three great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.
Due to COVID restrictions, a private family service will be held at 11:00 a. m. on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at St. Stephen United Methodist Church and livestreamed at http://www.mcewenmyerspark.com followed by a graveside service at Sharon Memorial Park.
