She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Haynes and Nora Haynes; her husband Lawrence Ellis Currie, Sr.; and her sons, Lawrence Currie, Jr. and Roy Currie.

She is survived by: her son Gregory Currie (Ann) of Charlotte; her daughter-in-law Gerri Currie of Charlotte; her grandchildren, Heath Currie, James Currie (Angel), Melanie Stone (Darin), Katie Sweatt (Matthew) and Christy Pope (Matt); her great grandchildren, Aiden Currie, Taylor Currie, Ryan Stone, Caroline Stone, Sarah Stone, Luke Stone, Sean Pope and Seth Pope; and her sisters, Jo Ann Naylor-Adair of Rock Hill, SC and Mary Hatcher of Richmond, VA..
