She was predeceased by: her father Charles Williams Valentine; and her brother Gary Patterson. She is survived by: her mother Peggy Elizabeth Patterson Valentine of Harmony; her siblings, Derrick "Todd" Valentine of Harmony and Bridget Valentine Williams of Harmony; her niece Bria Valentine; and her nephews, Kamari Crawford, Garrick Roseboro of Statesville and Gary Patterson, Jr. of Greensboro.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Epilepsy Foundation of North Carolina; 1920 W 1st St, Winston-Salem, NC 27104.
