He is survived by: his daughters, Lora Santelli (Randy Heavner) of Gastonia and Wanda "Princi" Schronce (Jason) of Charlotte; his siblings, Betty Jean Eckard (Barry) of Burnsville, Robert "Rob" Carter (Jean) of Conover, Doyle Carter (Janie) of Hickory and Marvin "Merv" Carter of Bluefield, WV; his sister-in-law Bessie Ashley Carter; his grandchildren, Tony Peeler (Karlie) of Germany, Coty Peeler (Halie Leatherman) of Newport, Taylor Boggs of Charlotte, Jordan Grant (Will Norket) of California and Alex Grant of Charlotte; and his great grandchildren, Olivia and Abigail Peeler. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
