He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Howard Wieler and Anna Newman Wieler; and his brothers, Walter, Thomas and Richard Wieler.
He is survived by: his wife Sally Mullen; his children, Elizabeth Boles (Greg) of Skytop, PA, Robert Wieler, Jr. (Georgia) of Alexandria, VA, John Wieler (Laurie) of Waxhaw, NC and Jennifer Sykes (Quintin) of Columbia, SC; his grandchildren, Robert III (Erin), George, Hannah, Grace, Jack Wieler, Carley Sheek, Marshall, Patrick Boles, Sarah, Anna, Molly, Caroline and Quincy Sykes; his great grandchild Noah Wieler; and his sister-in-law Helen Lesko Wieler. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
