He was loved and cherished by many people including: his grandson Robert Lough McFarland; his parents, Robert Milton McFarland and Martha Lough McFarland of Chester, WV.; his wife Elizabeth Ann Shade McFarland; his children, Robert Charles McFarland of Rome, GA, Carol Ann McFarland Brown of Parkton, MD and Janet Lee McFarland Kamenick of Charlotte, NC; his parents-in-law, Thomas A. Berg and Aaron Michael Kamenick; and his grandchildren, Erin Kayleigh Brown, Robert Ian McFarland, Elizabeth Ann Kamenick, Olivia Leigh McFarland, Ryleigh Danielle Brown, Aidan Joseph McFarland, Jonathan Robert Kamenick, Christopher David Kamenick and Rebecca Mei Kamenick.
