He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Kellis and Sadye Whitlock Kellis; his wife Rachel Lewis Kellis; and his siblings, Jerrold Kellis and Rosalie McNeill.
He is survived by: his daughters, Nancy Kellis Ott (Frank) of Albany, KY and Cindy Kellis of Charlotte, NC. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
