She is survived by: her children, Steven Mayfield, John Daryl Mayfield (Barbara), Chauncey Mayfield, Al Robinson, Selena McArthur, Inga Mayfield, Dr. Bernadette Mayfield-Clark (Don), Antionette Mayfield-Gordy (Walter), Cecilia Jones (Larry) and Charlotte; and her siblings, Billy Ray Sloan, Hazel Murphy, Wanda Wilson, Jackie Sloan, Margaret Brinson (Richard), Lyndia Lane and Minnye Sloan. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 15th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Little Rock A. M. E. Zion Church (401 N McDowell St, Charlotte, NC 28204). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, November 15th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
